Gil Chalan (Persian : گيل چالان‎, also Romanized as Gīl Chālān; also known as Gīlchālān-e Bālā)^[1] is a village in Gil Dulab Rural District, in the Central District of Rezvanshahr County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 861, in 217 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Gil Dulab Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Rezvanshahr County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 8,451, in 2,221 families. The rural district has 20 villages.

The Central District of Rezvanshahr County is a district (bakhsh) in Rezvanshahr County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 34,160, in 8,902 families. The District has one city: Rezvanshahr. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Gil Dulab Rural District and Khoshabar Rural District.
