Girls' Generation Tour is the second concert tour by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. The concert tour kicked off in Seoul and continued in Taipei and Singapore. Girls' Generation performed their first ever concert in Hong Kong on January 15, 2012.
The tour was announced by SM Entertainment in June 2011. The tickets for the tour went on sale on June 7, 2011, on Gmarket. The concert takes approximately three hours. The Singapore concert production cost S$1.8 million said by the organizers Running Into The Sun (RITS) and Conceptual. The concert will feature the standard massive LED screens and lasers as well as new elements like trapezes and two custom-built stages with three walkways between them. [1]
The Seoul concert was attended by Super Junior, f(x), Apink, 4Men, Davichi's Kang Minkyung, as well as Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ah-joong, Jung Ryeo-won, Park Min-young, Im Soo-hyang, Jung Joon-ho and Shin Se-kyung. [2] On July 24, 2011, Sooyoung announced that the next concert will be held in Taipei, Taiwan. They also became the first foreign girl group to hold 3 days concert on Taipei Arena and drew 31,000 people.
On October 11, 2011, it was announced that the next concert will be held on December 9, 2011, in Singapore. Due to overwhelming response regarding lack of tickets, it was announced on October 30, 2011, that there will be a second concert on the following day after the first night, on December 10, 2011, in Singapore. The concert was also held on January 15, 2012, in Hong Kong.
It was confirmed that Girls' Generation will perform a concert on February 12, 2012, in Bangkok, Thailand. On January 14, Girls’ Generation broke the record for the fastest concert to sell out in Thailand. The highest priced tickets sold out in ten minutes. All 11,000 concert tickets were sold in twenty minutes, setting the record for the concert to be sold out the fastest in Thailand. [3] Members of Girls' Generation announced to the fans in Thailand that Bangkok leg would be their last stop for their 2nd Asia Tour.

Girls' Generation Tour is the seventh music DVD release video from South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. It was released on November 30, 2012, in South Korea.
The DVD features footage from the concert tour's start in Seoul, South Korea on July 23 and 24. It consist of two discs showing nearly all of the performances during the concert, a bonus film of the making of the concert, performances from Japan, personal interviews with the members of Girls’ Generation, and waiting room and rehearsal footage. A photobook and a first press limited edition poster will also be included with the DVD. [9] [10] [11]

Girls' Generation, also known as SNSD, is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment. The group is composed of eight members: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. Originally a nine-piece ensemble, member Jessica departed from the group in September 2014. Among the most known South Korean figures and successful K-pop groups worldwide, Girls' Generation has earned numerous accolades and the honorific nickname "The Nation's Girl Group" in their home country.
"Into the New World" is the debut single by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. Originally written in 2002, it was composed by Kenzie while the lyrics were penned by Kim Jeong-bae. It was first released to digital outlets by SM Entertainment on August 2, 2007, while a CD single was made available several days later. The release includes the B-side tracks "Beginning" and "Perfect for You". "Into the New World" was later included on the group's self-titled debut album, which was released on November 1, 2007.
Choi Soo-young, known mononymously as Sooyoung, is a South Korean singer, actress and songwriter. She was a member of the short-lived Korean-Japanese singing duo Route 0 during 2002 in Japan. After returning to South Korea in 2004, Sooyoung eventually became a member of girl group Girls' Generation in 2007, which went on to become one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of South Korea's most popular girl groups worldwide. Apart from her group's activities, Sooyoung has also starred in various television dramas such as The Third Hospital (2012), Dating Agency: Cyrano (2013), My Spring Days (2014), Squad 38 (2016), Man in the Kitchen (2017–2018), Tell Me What You Saw (2020), and most recently in Run On (2021), So I Married the Anti-fan (2021), If You Wish Upon Me (2022), and Not Others (2023).
"Genie" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation for their second extended play (EP) of the same name (2009), released on June 22, 2009. Written and composed by Dsign Music, Fridolin Nordso and produced by Yoo Young-jin, the song is the group's first collaboration with Western composers and producers.
Into the New World Tour is the first Asian concert tour of South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. The Odd of Love was the fifth concert tour and the first arena tour headlined by South Korean singer Taeyeon, in support of her third studio album INVU (2022). The tour started in June 2023 in Seoul and finished in August 2023 in Singapore, visit eight countries across East Asia and Southeast Asia. It was her first solo concert in three years since The Unseen in 2020, which was cut short after three shows due to COVID-19.
