"Godwin" is a song by Nigerian songwriter and singer Korede Bello. It was released on 28 January 2015, by Mavin Records. The song features backup vocals from Don Jazzy. [2]
"Godwin" was met with positive reviews from music critics. A writer for Jaguda.com rated it 3.5 out of 5 adding: "On first listen, one can’t help but enjoy the totally positive and hopeful message about it.....Overall it’s a good song, and most importantly, a song that’s very simple but still very powerful with its message." [3] Chibuzor of 360Nobs commented on the song, saying, "This one is a feel good material by many standards, a song cutting across the various demographics and a potential hit given the needed plugging. The entire sounds and lyrical composition fuse in seamless beauty that oozes impeccability and style. God Win is full of cheeriness and drive; a cool number, indigenous, original, repeat-worthy and all." [4]
The music video of "Godwin" was shot and directed by Adasa Cookey. Filmed in Lagos, Nigeria, it was uploaded to YouTube on 3 June 2015. [5] The video amassed over one million views five weeks after its release. Moreover, it featured cameo appearances from Bovi, AY, Elenu, Yaw, Dr SID and Labi. [6] [7]
On 5 April 2015, Korede Bello was invited to perform the song at a church. His invitation to perform the song at the church didn't sit well down some people, who felt he was a secular artist and shouldn't have performed on a sacred altar. He voiced his opinion on Instagram, saying,

Mavin Records is a Nigerian music corporation record label founded by record producer and recording artist Don Jazzy on 8 May 2012. The label's inception came to fruition following the closure of Mo' Hits Records, a record label owned by the aforementioned producer and D'banj. The label is home to recording artists such as Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, Magixx, Boy spyce and Bayanni and Lifesize teddy. It also houses producers such as Jazzy himself, Altims, London, Baby Fresh, and Andre Vibez. In 2014, DJ Big N became the label's official disc jockey. Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Reekado Banks and Iyanya were all formerly signed to the label. On 8 May 2012, the label released its compilation album Solar Plexus. In January 2019, Mavin Records secured a multi-million dollars investment from Kupanda Holdings, a subsidiary of Kupanda Capital and TPG Growth.
"Finally" is a song recorded by Nigerian recording artist D'banj for the compilation album, D'Kings Men (2013). The song serves as the tenth commercial single from the album, which features collaborations between members of D'banj's DB Records label. The track premiered at a promotional event for the record, which was headlined by several Nigerian artists, including the singer. Solely written and produced by D'Banj himself, the recording is an EDM and pop song with lyrics predicting that any girl will beg for D'banj's love and compassion.

He went by the stage name Spicy before his record deal with Mavin Records. Reekado Banks won Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2014, and won the controversial Next Rated award at The Headies 2015. His debut studio album Spotlight was released on 1 September 2016; it debuted at number 10 on the Billboard World Albums chart.

It was primarily produced by Don Jazzy, along with additional production from Baby Fresh, Altims, Spellz and P2J. The album was supported by the singles "My Darlin" and "Standing Ovation". Its deluxe edition was released in February 2016, and features collaborations with Wizkid and P-Square. R.E.D was nominated for Best Album at the 2016 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
