Golf at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held at the Hurlingham Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 9 to 15 October 2018.
Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a team of 2 athletes of 1 male and 1 female. As hosts, Argentina was given a team to compete and a further 5 teams of 2 athletes was decided by the Tripartite Commission. The remaining 26 teams were decided by adding the ranking place of the top ranked eligible male and female golfers on the World Amateur Golf Rankings released on 25 July 2018. The 26 NOCs with the lowest combined rankings qualified. [1]
To be eligible to participate at the Youth Olympics athletes must have been born between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2003. Furthermore, all athletes must be amateur golfers who hold a recognised handicap index not exceeding 6.4. [1]

Golf at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 19 August to 26 August at the Zhongshan International Golf Club in Nanjing, China. This marked the debut of golf at the Youth Olympics as it was voted an Olympic sport for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Basketball at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 7 to 17 October. The events took place at the Parque Mujeres Argentinas in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As in previous Youth Olympic games, the 3x3 format is used along with the skill challenge.
Colombia participated at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 6 October to 18 October 2018.
The golf tournaments at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris ran from 1 to 10 August at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, featuring a total of 120 players across two medal events. The golf qualification pathway and format for Paris remained the same as the previous two editions with 60 players qualifying for each gender-based event over a four-day-long, 72-hole individual stroke play tournament. The men's event played 1–4 August while the women's side played 7–10 August.
