The Good Neighbor Championships [1] also known as the Goodneighborhood Championships [2] was a men's and women's international tennis tournament founded in 1949. [3] The championships were played on outdoor clay courts at the Flamingo Park Tennis Club, Miami Beach, Florida, United States. The tournament was part of the ILTF Caribbean Circuit and ran annually until 1965 when it was discontinued. [3]

History

In 1949 the Goodneighborhood Championships were established at Miami Beach, Florida, United States. [4] The championships were played on clay courts at the Flamingo Park Tennis Club. The event was part of the ILTF Caribbean Circuit. The tournament ran annually for sixteen editions until 1965 when it was discontinued.

The Virginia Slims of Fort Lauderdale is a defunct WTA Tour affiliated women's tennis tournament founded in 1946 as a combined men's and women's event called the Austin Smith Championships that was part of the ILTF Circuit. The tournament played at the Fort Lauderdale Tennis Club from 1946 to 1974. It was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the United States and played on outdoor clay courts.

The Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships, known as the Dunlop Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships from 2008 to 2013 with Dunlop as the title sponsor, and renamed the Metropolia Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships from 2013 onwards, is a prestigious junior tennis tournament, one of five that are rated by the ITF as 'Grade A'. Established in 1947 in Miami Beach, the tournament has for years featured both boys and girls singles and doubles draws at both '18 and under' (under-19) and '16 and under' (under-17) age categories. From 1999 to 2010, the tournament had been held each December at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, Florida. Since 2011, it has been held at the Frank Veltri Tennis Center in Plantation, Florida.

The Cumberland Hard Court Championships or Cumberland Club Hard Court Championships and also known as the Cumberland Hard Court Tournament was a men's and women's clay court tennis tournament founded as in 1927. It was played at the Cumberland Club, Hampstead, London, England until tournament ended in 1985.

The St. Annes Open also known as the St. Annes on Sea Open was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded as in 1932. It was played at the St. Anne's Lawn Tennis Club, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, England until the tournament ended in 1974.

The St. Petersburg Masters Invitational was a ILTF Circuit affiliated combined men's and women's clay court tennis tournament founded in 1953 as the Masters Invitational in St Augustine, Florida. In 1954 that event moved to Jacksonville, Florida until 1959. In 1960 the event moved to St Petersburg. It remained at the former location until 1971. After the men's event St Petersburg Masters Invitational was discontinued in 1971 the women's event continued as the Virginia Slims Masters St Petersburg. In 1974 the mens tournament was revived as St. Petersburg WCT until 1975 when it was abolished. the women's tournament continued under various brand names and at various locations in the Tampa Bay Area until it was discontinued in 1990.

The Colombian International also known as the Colombiano Internacional also known as the International Championships of Colombia or Campeonatos Internacionales de Colombia was a men's and women's clay court tennis tournament established in 1951 and played at the Country Club of Barranquilla, Barranquilla, Colombia until 1970.

The Jamaican International Championships was a mens international tennis tournament founded in 1924 and played on outdoor hard courts at the Liguanea Club, Kingston, Jamaica. The championships were held until 1939.

The Trinidad International was a men's and women's international tennis tournament founded in 1964 and played on outdoor clay courts or sometimes hard courts at the Tranquility Square Lawn Tennis Club in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The Moroccan International Championships or Championnats Internationaux Marocains was a men's and women's international clay court tennis tournament founded in 1925 as the Moroccan Championships or Championnats du Maroc. The tournament first held in Casablanca, Morocco. It was held annually until 1974 when it was discontinued as part of the worldwide ILTF Circuit.

The Royal South Yarra Championships was a men's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1887 as the Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club Tournament. It was first played at Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club, South Yarra, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The tournament was staged until 1968 when it was discontinued as part of the ILTF Circuit.

The Wiltshire County Open Championships or simply Wiltshire Championships was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament first established in 1920. It was held at Trowbridge Westbourne Tennis Club, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England. The tournament was staged annually until 1981.
