Gorilla vs. Bear is an MP3 blog [1] [2] for independent music MP3s, videos, news, and reviews from all genres. It was created by Chris Cantalini [2] in March 2005, and David Bartholow joined as a contributor in 2006. Gorilla vs. Bear regularly features unknown, established, and independent unsigned artists. The blog is also known for its use of Polaroid film [3] and Holga cameras for artist portraiture and live music coverage. [4] It has received a number of accolades. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]
In 2006, Sirius Satellite Radio selected Gorilla vs. Bear as one of their hosts of "Blog Radio," a weekly radio program on the college/indie rock channel Left of Center. Currently, it is available on the channel Sirius XMU. [11]
Since the 2010 South By Southwest music festival, [12] Gorilla vs. Bear has curated a small showcase entitled Gorilla vs. Booze. [13]

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., known professionally as Lil Wayne, is an American rapper. Faheem Rashad Najm, known professionally as T-Pain, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is known for popularizing creative use of Auto-Tune pitch correction, often used with extreme parameter settings to create electronic-styled vocal performances. Blending its use with R&B and hip hop sensibilities, T-Pain become a prominent figure in both genres throughout the 2000s. Other music industry artists, such as Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Future, and Travis Scott, have since utilized Auto-Tune to a similar effect.
Paramore is an American rock band formed in Franklin, Tennessee, in 2004. Since 2017, the band's lineup includes lead vocalist Hayley Williams, lead guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro. Williams and Farro are founding members of the group, while York, a high school friend of the original lineup, joined in 2007. Williams is the only member to appear on all six of Paramore's studio albums.

Alonzo Keith Mathis Jr., better known by his stage name Gorilla Zoe, is an American rapper from East Point, Georgia. He joined the Bad Boy Records hip hop group Boyz n da Hood in 2006, following the departure of its lead member, Jeezy. His first album with the group, Back Up n da Chevy (2007) was met with lukewarm critical and commercial reception, leading to their subsequent disbandment. He then signed with Bad Boy, an imprint of Atlantic Records in a joint venture with Block Entertainment as a solo act to release his debut studio album, Welcome to the Zoo (2007).

HMV's Poll of Polls was an annual list of albums compiled by British music retailer HMV from 1998 to 2012.
