The governor of Chernihiv Oblast is the head of executive branch for the Chernihiv Oblast.
The office of governor is an appointed position, with officeholders being appointed by the president of Ukraine, on recommendation from the prime minister of Ukraine.
The official residence for the governor is located in Chernihiv. The current governor is Viacheslav Chaus, who was appointed on 4 August 2021 by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. [1]
The governor of Donetsk Oblast is the head of executive branch for the Donetsk Oblast. Due to the current Russo-Ukrainian War Donetsk Oblast is, since 5 March 2015, assigned as a civil–military administration. Hence the governor of Donetsk Oblast is officially called Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Civil Administration.
The governor of Luhansk Oblast is the head of the executive branch for the Luhansk Oblast. Oleksandr Yevhenovych Skakun, is a Ukrainian government official, who was governor of Kharkiv Oblast from 11 August 2021 to 24 December 2021. He is a Candidate of Law awarded in 2012.
Oleksandr Oleksiiovych Pavliuk is a Ukrainian general serving as commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces since 11 February 2024. He was a participant in the war in Donbas and the Ukrainian defense against the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. On 14 February 2023 he was appointed First Deputy Minister of Defense.
