Gregory Steven Moore (born July 6, 1977) is an American college baseball coach and former catcher and pitcher. Moore is the head baseball coach at Saint Mary's College of California. Moore played college baseball at Long Beach City College and the University of San Francisco. He served as head coach of the Cal State Northridge Matadors baseball team from 2014 to 2019. Moore was a pitcher and catcher, first for Long Beach City College then San Francisco. Following his playing career, he became an assistant for the Dons and served as recruiting coordinator. He served one year as a pitching coach at Washington before returning to San Francisco as associate head coach. He earned his first head coaching job at Cal State Northridge prior to the 2014 season. With a 161–175 record in six seasons, Moore was fired from his head coaching position at Cal State Northridge. [5]

On June 15, 2019, Moore was hired as the head coach of the Saint Mary's. [6] After the 2023 season, Moore was fired by Saint Mary's College.

The Cal State Northridge Matadors are the athletic teams that represent California State University, Northridge in Northridge, Los Angeles, California. The Matadors field 17 teams in nineteen sports. The Matadors compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Big West Conference. CSUN has been a member of the Big West Conference since the summer of 2001 for most sports. The men's and women's indoor track and field teams compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation instead. The Matadors, led by head coach Trent Johnson, in his second season, and first without the interim tag, played their home games at the Premier America Credit Union Arena in Northridge, California as members of the Big West Conference. They finished the season 7–24, 4–16 in Big West play to finish in 10th place. Due to UC San Diego's transition to Division I, the Matadors were the No. 9 seed in the Big West tournament where they lost to Cal State Bakersfield in the first round.

Andrew "Andy" Newman is an American basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Cal State Northridge Matadors men's basketball team. He is the younger brother of Eric Newman.
