The Guarujá Open [1] was a men's tennis tournament held in Guarujá, Brazil founded in 1980 that ran till 1992. [1]

History

The tournament was originally part of the ILTF Grand Prix Circuit, [1] it was played on hard until its last year in 1992. [1] The tournament was suspended from the tour from 1984 to 1986 but was part of the ILTF Independent Circuit, the 1984 edition was played on clay courts. [1] Brazilian tennis players enjoyed great success at the tournament, with all but two of the nine finals featuring a Brazilian and the home representatives winning four times (and Luiz Mattar three times consecutively).

During 1991, two tournaments were played at Guarujá, both part of the ATP World Series. The second event, held in October, was played for the first and only time and referred to as the Bliss Cup. It was held on the hardcourts at Casa Grande Hotel, the same venue for the 1992 Guarujá event.

The 1972 Commercial Union Assurance Grand Prix was a professional tennis circuit held that year and organized by the International Lawn Tennis Federation (ILTF). It was first organised by the Dubbo District Tennis Association in conjunction with the New South Wales Lawn Tennis Association and was played on clay courts. It was staged as part of ILTF Australasia Circuit a sub circuit of the ILTF World Circuit until 1972, then became part of the ILTF Independent Tour until 1984 and finally part of the Tennis Australia Circuit till 1988 when it was discontinued as a senior event.

The Kenya Open also known as the Kenya Championships was a men's and women's tennis tournament founded in 1934 as the Kenyan International Championships. later called the Kenyan Closed Championships It was organised by the Kenyan Lawn Tennis Association (f.1922), Nairobi, Kenya and played on clay courts and ran until 1986 as part of the ILTF Independent Circuit.
