History
The company was founded in 1964 outside Milan, Italy, by brothers and former cyclocross racers, Paolo and Italo Guerciotti, with advice and assistance from Cino Cinelli. [1] In 1976, Guerciotti began sponsoring professional road cycling teams, supplying bikes to the Fiorella Mocassini team. In the following years, teams such as Fiorella Citroën, Magniflex Fam Cucine, Santini Selle Italia, Alfa Lum cycling team, and Dromedario Sidermec rode Guerciotti bikes. During this period, the Magniflex Fam Cucine team won 5 stages in the 1979 Giro d'Italia, and finished 3rd overall with Bernt Johansson. [2]
In 1977, Paolo Guerciotti founded the GS Guerciotti cyclocross team. This team would go on to enjoy incredible success, winning two professional and seven amateur world championships. [3]
In 1984, Antonio Mondonico became a partner and supervised the production of about 2,000 frames a year. However, the partnership with Mondonico ended in 1989. [4]
In 2000, Alessandro, Paolo Guerciotti's son, was officially incorporated into the company and other markets such as South Africa and Asia (Japan, Malesya, South Korea and Taiwan) were opened up. From 2005, professional teams such as L.P.R. Brakes-Farnese Vini and Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec supported. In 2008, Gilberto Simoni rode a Guerciotti in the Giro d'Italia and Alessandro Bertolini won a stage.
From 2013 the Team CCC Development Team was supported and since 2019 the UCI ProTeam Bardiani CSF Faizanè. [5]
Cicli Pinarello S.p.A. is an Italian bicycle manufacturer based in Treviso, Italy. Founded in 1953, it supplies mostly handmade bicycles for the road, track, E-bikes(NYTRO), mountain bikes and cyclo-cross. The company also produces an in-house component brand – MOST.
Colnago Ernesto & C. S.r.l. or Colnago is a manufacturer of high quality road-racing bicycles founded by Ernesto Colnago near Milano in Cambiago, Italy. It remained a family-controlled firm until May 4, 2020, when it was announced that the UAE-based investment company, Chimera Investments LLC, had acquired a majority of the Colnago shares from Ernesto Colnago, although the headquarters will remain located in Italy after the acquisition. Instead of following his family's farming business, Ernesto Colnago chose to work in the cycle trade, and was apprenticed first to Gloria Bicycles at the age of 13, and subsequently taking up road racing. After a bad crash ended his racing career, he began subcontracting for Gloria, and opened his own shop in 1954, building his first frames the same year. While building frames, he remained much in demand as a racing mechanic. He was second mechanic on the Nivea team Giro d'Italia under Faliero Masi in 1955, eventually being employed as head mechanic for the Molteni team of Belgian cycling legend Eddy Merckx in 1963.
Saeco was the name of an Italian road bicycle racing team, sponsored by the company with the same name. They rode on Cannondale bicycles.
Jonathan Page is an American bicycle racer specializing in cyclo-cross and road racing. He was the USA Cycling National Cyclo-cross Champion in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Page won his fourth National Championship in 2013. He lives in Underhill, Vermont, when not based in Oudenaarde, Belgium during the cyclocross season.

Robin Morton is an American former cycling team manager and was the first and only female manager in men's professional cycling. She also created the first Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) registered American professional road racing team in 1984. Cycling in Europe is a traditionally male sport and includes rules prohibiting women from the race caravans. At managers' meetings prior to races in Europe, the race organization would vote on whether Morton would be allowed to ride in the team car. Morton was elected to the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame in 2016.
