Habib Nasution (born 13 November 1936) is an Indonesian former swimmer. He competed in two events at the 1956 Summer Olympics. [1]

Indonesia competed in the Summer Olympic Games for the first time at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. Muhammad Akbar Nasution is an Indonesian former swimmer, who specialised in breaststroke, but also competed in long-distance freestyle and individual medley. Starting as a 17-year-old appearing at the 2000 Summer Olympics, Nasution is considered one of Indonesia's top-ranked swimmers in his decade. He has won a total of six medals from the Southeast Asian Games since 2001 and has held numerous Indonesian records in long-distance freestyle and in individual medley. At the peak of his sporting career, Nasurion has also travelled extensively across Asia, Australia, and the United States to train for world-class swim clubs, and to further focus on his education, including his four-year stay at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Elsa Manora Nasution is an Indonesian former swimmer, who specialized in backstroke events. She represented Indonesia at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and later captured a bronze medal in the 100 m backstroke at the 2003 Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam. She is also a third eldest sister of Muhammad Akbar Nasution, an elite breaststroke and medley swimmer, who competed with her at the Olympics as part of the Indonesian squad. Nasution is divorced from her husband Ricky Subagja, a prominent badminton player and 1996 Olympic doubles champion.
