The Hana Kimura Memorial Show is an annual professional wrestling memorial show and pay-per-view event promoted by Kyoko Kimura to commemorate the anniversary of the death of her daughter Hana Kimura, who committed suicide on May 23, 2020. Since its inception in 2021, it has taken place on May 23, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The annual event is broadcast live by FITE TV. [1]
On May 23, 2020, Hana Kimura committed suicide at age 22. [2] [3] Early that morning, Kimura posted self-harm images on Twitter and Instagram while sharing some of the hateful comments she received. [4] [5] [6] [7] In late 2020 and early 2021, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police arrested and charged multiple men for the cyberbullying that contributed to Hana's death. [8] [9] [10]
The first event took place on May 23, 2021 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, where the annual event has been held since its inception. [11] The second event took place on May 23, 2022, establishing the Hana Kimura Memorial Show as an annual event. [12]

Kyoko Kimura is a Japanese retired professional wrestler and mixed martial artist. Throughout her 14-year career, she competed in Big Japan Pro Wrestling, Ibuki, Ice Ribbon, JWP Joshi Puroresu, NEO Japan Ladies Pro-Wrestling and World Wonder Ring Stardom, among other promotions. She is best known for her Jamaican flag shirt and puffed afro that at one point stood at roughly one foot tall. She is known for wrestling in barbed wire deathmatches as well as her singles bouts. She retired from professional wrestling in January 2017.
World Wonder Ring Stardom, often referred to simply as Stardom, is a Japanese joshi puroresu or women's professional wrestling promotion based in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan. Stardom was founded in September 2010 by former All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling (AJW) co-producer Rossy Ogawa, retired professional wrestler and mixed martial artist Fuka Kakimoto, and former AJW veteran professional wrestler Nanae Takahashi. Since June 2024, Stardom is a subsidiary of New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW).

She worked for native companies in her country such as World Wonder Ring Stardom from 2016 to 2020, and Wrestle-1, in addition to having made appearances for foreign companies such as Ring of Honor, Pro-Wrestling: EVE, and some independent promotions in Mexico. Kimura was a second-generation wrestler; her mother Kyoko Kimura is a former professional wrestler.
