Sidi-Hassan Chahdi (born 7 May 1989) is a French long-distance runner who competes mainly in cross country running competitions.

Born in Cluses, [1] he has represented France four times at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships, twice as a junior and twice as a senior athlete (2011 and 2015). [2]

He has competed seven times consecutively at the European Cross Country Championships from 2007 to 2013. During this period he was part of the gold medal-winning French teams 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011, gathering honours at junior, under-23 and senior level in the process. Individually, he was a junior bronze medallist in 2008, under-23 runner-up in 2009, under-23 champion in 2010, and then won his first senior medal (a silver) in 2012. [1]

In 2018, he competed in the men's marathon at the 2018 European Athletics Championships held in Berlin, Germany. [3] He did not finish his race. [3]

Born in France, Chahdi is of Moroccan descent. [4]

The 2009 European Cross Country Championships was a continental cross country running competition that was held on 13 December 2009 near Dublin city, Fingal in Ireland. Dublin was selected as the host city in 2007 and the event was the first time that a major European athletics championships took place in Ireland. The six men's and women's races in the championship programme took place in Santry Demense on a looped course with flat and grassy ground. The 16th edition of the European Cross Country Championships featured 323 athletes from 30 nations.

In addition to these victories, she made eleven appearances at the competition and placed third in both 1986 and 1988.

Simon Denissel is a French middle-distance runner who competes in the 1500 metres and 3000 metres. His 1500 m personal best is 3:37.70 minutes. He was the bronze medallist in the event at the 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships. He trains with Lille Métropole Athlétisme.

The 2013 European Cross Country Championships was the 20th edition of the cross country running competition for European athletes which was held in Belgrade, Serbia, on 8 December 2013. The senior individual winners were Alemayehu Bezabeh of Spain and Sophie Duarte of France. A record 571 runners from 37 nations entered the competition, making it Serbia's largest international athletics event in over forty years.

He made eight appearances at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships and was an individual and team bronze medallist at the 1995 European Cross Country Championships. He also won silver medals at the European Mountain Running Championships in 1998.
