Hayes FM (91.8 FM) is a community-focused local radio station based in Hayes, West London, England.
The target audience is people living and working within a three-mile radius of Hayes in the south of the London Borough of Hillingdon. The station is non-commercial - it is not obligated to sell advertisements in order to remain operational. This gives autonomy with format, allowing a variety of tastes to be accommodated in programming.
Hayes FM was launched out of an initiative between Sutish Sharma and local MP John McDonnell. [1] The initiative's aim was to contribute towards engaging the three West London boroughs' different communities.
In 2003, Hayes FM undertook a Restricted Service Licence for one month. In 2004, the station developed accredited training courses, and in November of that year submitted an application to Ofcom for a local radio licence. Hayes FM was awarded a radio operators licence in 2006; it started broadcasting on 1 September 2007. [2]
Wire FM was an Independent Local Radio station serving the Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn areas of Cheshire.

Nova Radio North East, is an FM community radio station based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Launched in 2007, the station broadcasts 24 hours a day on 102.5 FM, and online via its website. Original 106 is an independent radio station broadcasting to Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. It was initially owned by Canadian media company Canwest, and was awarded its broadcast licence in January 2007 and the station launched on 28 October 2007 at 1:06 pm, when the first record played was "Revolution" by The Beatles. On 12 September 2009 the station was sold to a consortium led by Adam Findlay which included John Quinn and Murray Strachan. Adam Findlay's New Wave Media owned Dundee radio station Wave 102, John Quinn is the majority shareholder and chairman of Central FM, a station which covers the Forth Valley in the Central Belt. On 20 March 2019 it was announced that the publisher DC Thomson, which already owned Wave FM in Dundee, had bought the Fife-based Kingdom FM and Original 106 taking its tally of radio stations to three.
