Lisa Jane Stansfield is an English singer, songwriter, and actress. Her career began in 1980 when she won the singing competition Search for a Star. After appearances in various television shows and releasing her first singles, Stansfield, Ian Devaney and Andy Morris formed Blue Zone in 1986. The band released several singles and one album, but after the success of Coldcut's "People Hold On" in 1989, on which Stansfield was featured, the focus was placed on her solo career.

Seven is the seventh studio album by British singer Lisa Stansfield released on 31 January 2014. It is her first new album since 2004's The Moment. Seven was promoted by three singles: "Can't Dance", "Carry On" and "So Be It", and the European 2013–2014 Seven Tour. Titled Seven+, the album was re-released in October 2014 with one new song, "There Goes My Heart" and fifteen remixes. In the United Kingdom it was released as a double album with the original track listing. In Europe, Seven+ was issued as a standalone album. The Live in Manchester album/video recorded during the Seven Tour was released on 28 August 2015.
