Hemiphyllodactylus is a genus of geckos ranging from India and China southward to Southeast Asia and Oceania. Species of Hemiphyllodactylus are commonly known as half leaf-fingered geckos. Many species are known as dwarf geckos or slender geckos.
Cyrtodactylus is a diverse genus of Asian geckos, commonly known as bent-toed geckos, bow-fingered geckos, and forest geckos. The genus has 354 described species as of 2023, which makes it the largest of all gecko genera.
The Eastern Ghats are a discontinuous range of mountains along India's eastern coast. Cát Tiên National Park is a national park located in the south of Vietnam, in the provinces of Đồng Nai, Bình Phước and Lâm Đồng. It is approximately 150 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. It has an area of about 720 km2 and protects one of the largest areas of lowland tropical forests left in Vietnam. Since 2011, Cát Tiên National Park has been a part of Đồng Nai Biosphere Reserve.

Oligodon pseudotaeniatus, commonly known as the false striped kukri snake, is a species of colubrid snake. It is endemic to Thailand and known from the Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Saraburi Province, and Bangkok. The type series was collected by Malcolm Arthur Smith. The specific name pseudotaeniatus refers to its similarity to Oligodon taeniatus, with whom it was confused prior to its species description in 2008.
The long-toothed pipistrelle is a species of bat of the genus Hypsugo. It is a small bat, with a length of 35.2–38.4 mm of forearm, and 5.9–7 mm of foot. It feeds on insects and has especially long canines compared to others of its genus.
The Changning slender gecko is a species of gecko. It is endemic to Yunnan, China. In Changning County, western Yunnan, specimens were found of an unnamed species of Hemiphyllodactylus were described as “a slender body and unique U-shaped digital lamellae”. This is the first known species of any known Hemiphyllodactylus from this population, thus being described as a new species.
