Henrik Janson (born 11 March 1961) is a Swedish music arranger, guitarist, record producer and songwriter. Founding a band at thirteen, in 1974, Janson today works with both domestic and international artists.
Janson was born and raised in Hammarö, in the province of Värmland, Sweden. At the age of nine, he began taking cello lessons while three years later starting to learn how to play the guitar, today his main instrument. Before entering high school, where he studied music, Janson already had founded his own jazz-rock band, Mantra, in which he played the guitar and wrote all the music. The band was dissolved in 1981 when Janson decided to move to Stockholm, where he lives today.
Settled in the capital, Janson became a coveted studio musician also frequently being engaged as a record producer and music arranger. In addition he worked as a guitarist on tours with artists such as Roxette, Michael Ruff Band, Nils Landgren Funk Unit, Tomas Ledin and Ratata.
In 1989 Janson recorded and released a solo album, Livingroom, for which he was nominated a Swedish Grammis Award, equivalent to the Grammy in the USA.
In 1992 Henrik teamed up with his brother Ulf Janson starting to write music arrangements for orchestras, both also working as conductors. Through the years they have collaborated with The London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.
The opera crossover quartet Il Divo was formed by the music manager Simon Cowell in 2003. Their self-titled debut album was released in November the following year and went straight to number one in the UK and in seven other countries. Henrik and Ulf Janson arranged the orchestra and worked as conductors on parts of the album, [1] which they also did on the group’s following two UK number one studio albums Ancora and Siempre . [2] On each three records, Henrik also was engaged as a guitarist. [1]
In June 2007, the British tenor Paul Potts was crowned winner of the first season of ITV’s talent show Britain’s Got Talent. Potts’ debut album One Chance , including Jansons’ arrangements for orchestra which the brothers also conducted, [1] came out a month later. Just like Il Divo’s first album it went to number one in the UK, [3] as well as in eight other countries. Two years later, in 2009, they returned working with Potts on his sophomore album Passione . On 5 December 2013 Céline Dion released the song "Breakaway" as a single in the UK. Her album, Loved Me Back to Life , also includes "Somebody Loves Somebody", both songs with string arrangements co-written by Janson. [1]
The annual Nobel Prize Awards in 2013 were presented in Stockholm on 10 December. During the following banquet held at the Stockholm City Hall, the classical crossover composition "Anthem for all Mankind", [11] with music written and produced by Janson for the event, was performed by the Swedish opera trio Divine.
Janson was in a relationship with Søs Fenger, a Danish vocalist, though they have since separated. The couple had a son, August Fenger Janson, who performs under the name Eloq as a DJ and music producer. [12] [13]
Don't Bore Us - Get to the Chorus! Roxette's Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits compilation album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 30 October 1995 by EMI. The record contains the duo's four number ones from the US Billboard Hot 100 chart: "The Look", "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love" and "Joyride", and a further two which reached number two on the chart: "Dangerous" and "Fading Like a Flower ". It also includes four newly recorded tracks, three of which were released as singles: "You Don't Understand Me", "June Afternoon" and "She Doesn't Live Here Anymore". The album's title is based on a quote from Motown-founder Berry Gordy.
Il Divo are a multi-national classical crossover vocal group. The male quartet, which originated in the United Kingdom in December 2003, consists of tenors Urs Bühler, David Miller, baritone Steven LaBrie and Sébastien Izambard. It also included baritone Carlos Marín before his death from COVID-19 in December 2021, being officially replaced by LaBrie in August 2023. Il Divo was created and promoted by Simon Cowell for the label Syco Music.

Il Divo is the debut studio album to be released by classical crossover vocal group Il Divo, formed by Simon Cowell in 2004. The album was released on 1 November 2004 in the United Kingdom, via Syco Music, and on 19 April 2005 in the United States, via Columbia Records. The album contains three songs performed in English, six songs performed in Italian, and three songs performed in Spanish, excluding the bonus track. "Dangerous" is a song by Swedish pop duo Roxette. Written by Per Gessle, the song was released as the fourth and final single from their second studio album, Look Sharp! (1988). Gessle penned it just before Roxette's first tour in 1987. Released in May 1989, it was the group's third top-10 single on the US Billboard Hot 100, reaching number two. It also entered the top 10 in Australia, Canada, and six European countries. The music video was recorded in the ruins of Borgholm Castle. In the UK and Ireland, "Dangerous" was released as a double A-side with "Listen to Your Heart".

From Now On is the debut studio album by English recording artist Will Young. It was released by S Records on 7 October 2002, eight months after he won the first series of Pop Idol. The singer worked with a variety of writers and producers on the album, including Absolute, Cathy Dennis, Julian Gallagher, Stephen Lipson, Mike Peden, and Richard Stannard as well as Swedish musicians such as Jörgen Elofsson, David Kreuger, and Per Magnusson. Young co-wrote five songs on From Now On which also features a cover version of The Beatles' song "The Long and Winding Road," a duet with fellow Pop Idol finalist Gareth Gates.
