Hernán Carrasco Vivanco (29 March 1923 – 10 September 2023) was a Chilean football manager.
Carrasco created a legacy in El Salvador by winning five Primera División titles with Alianza F.C. in 1966, 1967, 1989 and CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 1967 - Atlético Marte 1969, 1970 [1] and Águila in 1968 and in 1987 he won a Primera División National Championship and also coached the El Salvador national team at 1970 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. [2] [3]
However, it was an unhappy campaign losing all three games and he resigned afterwards. He made an important contribution to the development of one of the best teams in Chilean history: Universidad de Chile "Blue Ballet". He was for many years president of the Chilean coaches and was one of the founders of the Salvadoran Coaches Association.
Carrasco had his own football school called the Academia Futuro de Hernán Carrasco Vivanco. He turned 100 in March 2023, [4] and died on 10 September 2023. [5]

Alianza Fútbol Club, also known simply as Alianza, is a professional football club based in San Salvador, El Salvador. Founded in 1958, Alianza was almost immediately successful, winning its first championships in the 1966 and 1967 Salvadoran seasons. Even more significantly, Alianza was the first Central American and Salvadoran club to win the CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 1967, and is currently one of only three Salvadoran teams to have done so.

C.D. FAS and TBD are the defending champions of both Apertura and Clausura tournaments respectively. The league will consist of 12 teams. There will be two seasons conducted under identical rules, with each team playing a home and away game against the other clubs for a total of 22 games per tournament. At the end of each half-season tournament, the top six teams in that tournament's regular season standings will take part in the playoffs.
