George Washington Hewlett High School
George W, Hewlett High School was built in 1957, and in 1984, it added 9th grade from Woodmere Middle School, in 2021, Hewlett High School had a renovation and is still open today with 999 students in classes.

On December 3, 2006, Newsday reported that of 3,327 students, 84.3% are white, 1.8% are black 6.2% are Hispanic and 7.7% are "other." [3]

Hempfield Area School District is a large school district in western Pennsylvania. It is the largest in Westmoreland County with a resident population of over 50,000 and covers approximately 95 square miles (250 km2) and lies 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Pittsburgh. The school district was formed in a merger of The School District of Hempfield Township, Adamsburg School District, Hunker School District, Manor School District and Youngwood School District on July 3, 1961. The name refers back to the presence in Long Beach which ended after its West Broadway location was closed in 2017.
