Hipposauridae is an extinct family of biarmosuchian therapsids from the Late Permian of South Africa. It includes the genus Hipposaurus , and possibly the genera Hipposauroides and Pseudhipposaurus . A closely related biarmosuchian is Ictidorhinus , which has been placed in the family Ictidorhinidae. [1]
