Hobart is an extinct town in Lincoln County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place. [1]
Lincoln County is a county in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the population was 52,566. Its county seat is Troy. The county was founded December 14, 1818, and named for Major General Benjamin Lincoln of the American Revolutionary War.

A post office called Hobart was established in 1897, and remained in operation until 1903. [2] The community has the name of Garret Hobart, 24th Vice President of the United States. [3]
