The House of Temenggong (Malay : Wangsa Temenggung), or the Temenggong dynasty, is the current ruling dynasty of Johor, Malaysia.
Members of the House of Temenggong trace their descent back to Temenggong Daeng Ibrahim, who in turn was also descended from a family of Temenggongs of Johor who dominated the politics of the Johor Sultanate. [1] Sultan Abu Bakar, the 21st sultan of Johor and the 1st sultan of modern Johor, was the founding patriarch of this House. [2]
The current head of the House is Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar of Johor.
