The Banqiao Reservoir Dam is a dam on the River Ru in Zhumadian City, Henan province, China. Its failure in 1975 caused as many as 230,000 deaths. The dam was subsequently rebuilt.

Kanab Creek is one of the many tributaries of the Grand Canyon. It begins in Kane County, Utah, just south of the watershed to the Great Basin and flows 125 miles (201 km) south to the Colorado River. It passes Kanab, Utah, crossing the border to Arizona near Fredonia. It flows through the Kaibab Indian Reservation of the Paiute people and the 1984-designated Kanab Creek Wilderness, a wilderness area, before its mouth in the Grand Canyon National Park.

The scenic Nanwan Reservoir is located within the borough of Xinyang, Henan Province, China, situated on the Shihe river, one of the largest branches of the Huai River. The dam was constructed between 1952 and 1955. The dam has resulted in protection from floods, an increase in agriculture production, electricity production, and improved navigation that benefits tourism.The Nanwan Reservoir scenic spot has rich connotations of mountains and islands. It is known as "The First Lake In Zhongyuan". It is a national forest park and national irrigation works scenery zone.
The North Jiangsu Main Irrigation Canal is located in the lower reaches of the Huai River, one of the major rivers of northern Jiangsu Province in eastern China. It originates at Gaoliangjian on Hongze Lake and runs through Hongze, Qingpu, Huai'an, Funing, Sheyang and Binghai county(or district) and joins the artificial estuary of Biandan Harbour. The canal is 168 km in length and can irrigate 1,720,000 hectares of farmland. The construction program was organized and directed by the headquarters of the Jiangsu Huai River management program between October 1951 and May 1952.
