The Hudson Valley Islamic Community Center (HVICC) was founded by the local Muslim community in the Mohegan Lake area of Westchester County, New York. The current property was acquired on May 15, 2006. It features 7 acres of land and a 50,000 square foot Islamic Center. [1]

Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center is a venue located in Poughkeepsie, New York, consisting of Mair Hall and the McCann Ice Arena. It was built in the 1970s as part of the general attempt at rehabilitation of the central district of the City of Poughkeepsie. It is located at 14 Civic Center Plaza, on a segment of what was formerly known as Market Street near the former Main Mall. The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel, at 40 Civic Center Plaza, is adjacent on the same block and was originally designed to be constructed concurrently with the civic center and financed by Hilton, but the hotel construction was abandoned after the foundation was laid. Four years after the completion of the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, Radisson Hotels bought the hotel property and after a re-design of the original hotel plans, construction of the hotel resumed.

Peekskill Hollow Creek is a creek in central western Putnam County, New York, mainly in the town of Putnam Valley. Approximately 17 miles (27 km) in length, it originate as the outflow of Lake Tibet in the southwestern part of the town of Kent and flows southwest towards the town of Peekskill in farthest northwest Westchester County. For several miles after leaving Kent it serves as the border between the towns of Carmel and Putnam Valley.
The Casperkill is a creek in both the town and city of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York. It flows 11.6 miles (18.7 km) from Peach Hill Park to the Hudson River. Combined with its only major tributary, the Fonteyn Kill, it forms a 12 sq mi (31 km2) subwatershed. It lies entirely within the British royal grant of 1685 known as the Rombout Patent.
The Hudson River Valley Institute is a center for regional studies of the Hudson Valley of New York State. It is an academic extension of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. The academic institution provides internships for Marist History majors and contributes to local happenings, such as the Walkway Over the Hudson and the Mount Beacon Inclined Railway Restoration Society. Furthermore, they oversee Marist's publication of the Hudson River Valley Review, a journal of regional studies featuring historical research on the Hudson River Valley.
Masjid Hamza is a mosque and Islamic community center located at 200 Stuart Avenue, Valley Stream, New York. It has a K–6 school system called "Hamza Academy", and has a mosque. The masjid is located fifteen minutes away from John F. Kennedy International Airport and serves about 1,400 families. The masjid offers use of the masjid for the five daily prayers, adult and children's Quran classes, and Taraweeh in the month of Ramadan. The masjid originally started as a 2 bedroom house, but as a result of the growing Muslim community in Valley Stream, expanded to a bigger building in 2007. In a2015 annual fundraiser, the masjid announced plans for expansions, which they did by purchasing 3 adjacent properties
Peabody Preserve is a 40-acre (0.16 km2) natural land area located in between the Hudson River and Fremont Pond, in Sleepy Hollow, New York, United States. The Preserve contains hiking trails, multiple habitats, wetlands, a retaining pool and diverse species of flora and fauna. The Reserve was created to protect and restore native ecological communities and wetlands, serve as an outdoor classroom for students and teachers, and provide recreational opportunities to all visitors.
