Hypidota is a monotypic moth genus in the family Erebidae. Its only species, Hypidota neurias, is found in Brazil. Both the genus and the species were first described by William Schaus in 1904. [1]
Mimallonidae Burmeister (mimallonids), sometimes known as "sack-bearer" moths for the larval case-building behavior, are a family of Lepidoptera containing over 300 named species in 43 genera.
