IK Uppsala Fotboll is a football club from Uppsala, in Uppsala County, Sweden. The club was established in 2016 when IK Sirius Fotboll's women's department decided to reform as an independent club. [1] It was promoted into the women's Premier Division (Damallsvenskan) for the first time in 2020. [2]

The club play their home games at Studenternas IP in Uppsala. The team colours are dark red and white. The club is affiliated to the Upplands Fotbollförbund.

On 5 December 2022, the Swedish Football Association announced that Eskilstuna United DFF club was denied for failing to fulfill economic requirements, and weren't allowed to play the 2023 Damallsvenskan and instead were relegated to Elitettan. [3] Eskilstuna United DFF appealed, but on 2 January 2023, the Swedish Football Association announced that instead, IK Uppsala would be promoted. [4]

The 2020 Damallsvenskan was the 33rd season of the Swedish women's association football top division, Damallsvenskan. The league was originally set to commence on 3 April 2020, but due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic it was postponed, and eventually set to begin on 27 June, and end on 15 November. All matches were played without spectators.

The 2021–22 Svenska Cupen Damer was the 39th edition of the women's association football main cup competition in Sweden. FC Rosengård won the competition after defeating BK Häcken 2–1 at the final.

The 2022 Damallsvenskan was the 35th season of the Swedish women's association football top division, Damallsvenskan. The league began on 26 March 2022, and ended on 5 November 2022.

The 2022–23 Svenska Cupen Damer is the 40th edition of the women's association football main cup competition in Sweden.

The 2023 Damallsvenskan was the 36th season of the Swedish women's association football top division, Damallsvenskan. The league began on 24 March 2023, and ended on 11 November 2023. The league had an eight-week break between rounds 17 and 18 due to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
