"I Only Lie When I Love You" is a song by English hard rock band Royal Blood, released as the second overall single from their second studio album How Did We Get So Dark? on June 8, 2017.

The song was written by the band and was produced by Jolyon Thomas and Tom Dalgety with Royal Blood. It reached number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart [1] and number sixteen on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, becoming the band's second-most successful single on the latter chart. Promotion

The track was released as the third overall single from the band's second album How Did We Get So Dark? released on June 8, 2017. [3] It was later serviced to U.S. rock radio formats as the second U.S. radio single on October 3, 2017. [4]

Music video

The music video for "I Only Lie When I Love You" was released on June 8, 2017 and was directed by Pascal Teixeira. [5] It features the band performing on a white backdrop and a rolling shot that features distorted angles of the band.

Twenty One Pilots is an American musical duo from Columbus, Ohio. Initially a band, the group was formed in 2009 by lead vocalist Tyler Joseph along with Nick Thomas and Chris Salih, who both left in 2011. Since their departure, the line-up has consisted of Joseph and drummer Josh Dun. The duo is best known for their singles "Stressed Out", "Ride", and "Heathens". English rock duo Royal Blood have released three studio albums, two extended plays (EPs), fourteen singles and nineteen music videos. Formed in Brighton in March 2011, Royal Blood consists of bassist and vocalist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher. After signing with Warner Bros. Records, the duo released their debut single "Out of the Black" in October 2013, which debuted at number 29 on the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart. In February 2014, "Little Monster" was issued as the band's second single, registering on the UK Singles Chart at number 95 and the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart at number one. Both singles were later issued alongside their B-sides on the EP Out of the Black in March. "Black Honey" is a song by American rock band Thrice. The song was released on April 27, 2016 as the lead single from their ninth studio album, ToBe Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere. It was the first single the band released following their breakup in 2012 and subsequent reunion in 2015. The political track uses the imagery of a man swatting at a beehive in search of honey as a metaphor for the creation of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant as a consequence of United States involvement in the Middle East, using the titular "black honey" as a euphemism for oil. The song was a large comeback hit for the band, charting at No. 11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, their highest-charting single to date and their first charting single since "Image of the Invisible" in 2005.
