"I Said Hi" is a song recorded by Australian singer-songwriter Amy Shark. It was released on 13 April 2018 as the lead single from her studio album Love Monster (July 2018). At the ARIA Music Awards of 2018, Dann Hume and M-Phazes won Producer of the Year for their work on "I Said Hi". At the APRA Music Awards of 2019, it won Pop Work of the Year and Song of the Year. For the ceremony, Electric Fields performed their cover version of "I Said Hi". On the ARIA Singles Chart, it peaked at No. 6. By the end of 2020 it was certified 5× platinum for shipment of over 350000 copies.
Amy Shark says "I Said Hi" was inspired by her retort to managers when they told her whom she was meeting to discuss her future: the same people who had knocked back her emails and calls. [1] Shark told MusicFeeds: "It's an anthem for anyone who is waking up everyday fighting for what they believe in and challenging the universe!" [2]
At the ARIA Music Awards of 2018, "I Said Hi" was nominated for four awards; with Dann Hume and M-Phazes winning the Producer of the Year for "I Said Hi". Evermore were a rock band formed in Feilding, New Zealand in 1999, made up of three brothers Jon, Peter and Dann Hume. The band was based in Sydney from 2004 to 2007 and then Melbourne until they became inactive in 2014. Evermore released four studio albums: Dreams (2004), Real Life (2006), Truth of the World: Welcome to the Show (2009), and Follow the Sun (2012), as well as a self-titled compilation album (2010). Real Life and Truth of the World were their highest charting studio albums in New Zealand and Australia, while Dreams and Real Life received platinum certifications from Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).
The Sound of White is the debut studio album by Australian pop singer-songwriter Missy Higgins, released 6 September 2004 by Eleven. It won the 2005 ARIA Music Award for Best Female Artist. Higgins had secured recording contracts with Eleven and Warner Bros. while still in high school, after winning a competition for unsigned artists run by radio station Triple J. Her winning song, "All For Believing", is included on this album. After a backpacking trip in 2002, Higgins toured and wrote songs during 2003. Kehlani, “Adore” by Amy Shark, “I Got So High That I Saw Jesus” by Noah Cyrus, and “Painkiller” by Ruel ft Denzel Curry.
