Dann Hume (born Daniel Benjamin Cobbe, 1 September 1987) is a New Zealand musician, music producer, mix engineer and songwriter. Hume began his career with his two brothers (with Jon Hume and Peter Hume) who formed the alternative rock band, Evermore in 1999. Biography

Dann Hume (born as Daniel Benjamin Cobbe) [6] [7] [8] is the youngest son of the Hume family. In 1999, with his two brothers, he formed Evermore in Feilding. He has co-written songs for Evermore such as "Running", "Light Surrounding You" as well as the first single from Dreams , "It's Too Late". Soon after the release of Evermore's fourth studio album Follow the Sun in late 2012, Hume stepped away from touring with the band to focus on music production.

As a producer he has worked with a host of Australian artists including Lisa Mitchell, Matt Corby, Amy Shark, Alpine, Troye Sivan, Client Liaison, Snakadaktal, Sticky Fingers, Courtney Barnett, Hopium and Kita Alexander. [9]

Lisa Mitchell's 'Wonder' achieved ARIA Platinum status, and albums reaching ARIA Gold status include Matt Corby's debut Telluric , Sticky Fingers' Caress Your Soul. Kita Alexander's Hotel , and Amy Shark's 'Weekends' achieved ARIA Platinum and Gold status, respectively. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2019, Hume won Producer of the Year for his work on Corby's album, Rainbow Valley . [10]

Evermore were a rock band formed in Feilding, New Zealand in 1999, made up of three brothers Jon, Peter and Dann Hume. The band was based in Sydney from 2004 to 2007 and then Melbourne until they became inactive in 2014. Evermore released four studio albums: Dreams (2004), Real Life (2006), Truth of the World: Welcome to the Show (2009), and Follow the Sun (2012), as well as a self-titled compilation album (2010). "Light Surrounding You" is the second single by alternative rock band, Evermore, taken from their second studio album, Real Life. It was written by Dann Hume, the group's drummer. The record is co-produced by Jon Hume. The song was released in October 2006 and peaked at No. 15 on the RIANZ Singles Chart in New Zealand and number one on the ARIA Singles Chart, making it Evermore's most successful single in Australia. It was the first single by a New Zealand artist to top the Australian charts since "How Bizarre" by OMC in 1996.

Jon Cobbe Hume is an Australian-born New Zealand musician, songwriter and producer based between Los Angeles and Nashville who has written and produced songs for JP Cooper, Galantis, Bebe Rexha, Guy Sebastian, Sofi Tukker, Dean Lewis, Icona Pop, Elle King, Joshua Bassett, Wilder Woods and Zhu. He is also known as the eldest of three brothers who made up the New Zealand band Evermore (1999–2014), of which he was the lead singer. At the APRA Music Awards of 2023 he won Most Performed Alternative Work for co-writing "Hurtless" with the song's performer Dean Lewis; it was also nominated for Most Performed Australian Work.

Sarah Paige Aarons is an Australian songwriter. Originally from Bentleigh, Melbourne, she attended McKinnon Secondary College in McKinnon. Now based in Los Angeles, Aarons is signed to Sony ATV Publishing. She co-wrote "Stay" by Zedd and Alessia Cara and "The Middle" by Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey, which both went to #1 on Mainstream Top 40 and were each certified double platinum in the US. The Makarrata Project is the twelfth studio album by Australian band Midnight Oil, released on 30 October 2020 by Sony Music Australia. The album is the first new material from the band since 2002's Capricornia, their first studio album to hit #1 on the ARIA Charts since 1990's Blue Sky Mining, and one of the final releases to feature bassist and backing vocalist Bones Hillman before his death in November 2020.
