Nsukka is a town and a Local Government Area in Enugu State, Nigeria. Nsukka shares a common border as a town with Edem, Opi, Ede-Oballa, and Obimo.
Enugu is the capital city of Enugu State in Nigeria. The city had a population of 4,690,100 spread across the three LGAs of Enugu East, Enugu North and Enugu South, according to the 2022 Nigerian census.
Enugu State verbally pronounced as "Enụgwụ" by the igbo indigenes is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, bordered to the north by the states of Benue and Kogi, Ebonyi State to the east and southeast, Abia State to the south, and Anambra State to the west. Ayogu Eze was a Nigerian politician, elected Senator for the Enugu North Senatorial District of Enugu State, taking office on 5 June 2007. He was later a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC but was elected to the senate under the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
The Isu people are the largest group of the Igbo people of Nigeria. Isuama, in which the purest Igbo is said to be spoken, is to be found the heart of the Igbo nationality; consequently it is quite reasonable to look among its people for the original fountain-head from which all the other clans have sprung. Thus as warriors the neighboring Oratta (Uratta) people looked down on the Isu people, who were traders.
Unadu is a community in Igbo Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. It lies North West of Nsukka. Boundaries are formed by (Akpanya) Kogi state To the North, Enugu-Ezike, Itchi and Alor-Agu. Unadu plays host to Afor Market, popularly known as Afor Unadu and situated at the central area of the community. Unadu is made up of two autonomous communities: Ohomu Unadu and Obaka Unadu. Each of the autonomous communities is ruled by a traditional chief called the Igwe.
Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a Nigerian politician who served as the governor of Enugu State from 2015 to 2023. He was a member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria representing Igboeze North/Udenu federal constinuency from 2003 to 2015. He is a member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

It is situated in the North of Itchi, North East of Unadu and South West of Aguibeje which is in Igbo Eze North. Alor-Agu shares boundaries with Unadu, Aguibeje, Imufu, Umuiyida (Umuopuagu, Umushele and Akpatr' respectively which are communities in Enugu-Ezike.
The 2023 Enugu State gubernatorial election took place on 18th March 2023, to elect the Governor of Enugu State, concurrent with elections to the Enugu State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election — which was postponed from its original 11 March date — was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi was term-limited and could seek re-election to a third term. Former commissioner Peter Mbah retained the governorship for the PDP by a margin of less than 1% — 3,343 votes — over the first runner-up, LP nominee Chijioke Edeoga.
The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Enugu State will be held on 25 February 2023, to elect the 3 federal Senators from Enugu State, one from each of the state's three senatorial districts. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election, as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives; with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.
Emeka Mamah (Ideh) is a Nigerian entrepreneur and politician who served as commissioner for environment and mineral resources, Enugu State from 2018 to 2019, and commissioner for chieftaincy and rural development from 2020 to 2023. He also served as special adviser on transport to the governor of Enugu State in 2010. Mamah is the group managing director, Ifesinachi transport limited and a prince of the Ugbaike Kingdom of Igbo-Eze North LGA of Enugu State.
