Igors Vihrovs is a Latvian gymnast, who won the gold medal in floor exercise at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and bronze in floor exercise in 2000 European Championships and 2001 World Championships. He was the first Olympic gold medalist for independent Latvia.
The Unified Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, was a joint team consisting of twelve of the fifteen former Soviet republics that chose to compete together; the states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania competed separately. Azerbaijan sent a delegation to compete at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy from 10–26 February 2006. The nation was making its third appearance at a Winter Olympics. The Azerbaijani delegation consisted of two athletes, an ice dancing team of American-born Kristin Fraser and Russian-born Igor Lukanin. They finished the competition in 19th place. Igor Vori is a Croatian handball coach and former player who is currently the coach of Croatian club MRK Sesvete. Ihor Mykhaylovych Rybak was a Ukrainian weightlifter. He competed for the Soviet Union twice, at the 1956 Summer Olympics and 1956 European Championships. On both occasions he won ahead of Ravil Khabutdinov. Due to the severe competition within the Soviet Union, Rybak never won a national title, and by 1960 was left out of the national team. In retirement he worked in sports medicine.
Igor Vušurović is a former Montenegrin volleyball player, who won the gold medal with the Yugoslav Men's National Team at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Standing at 2.00 m, he played as a middle blocker.

Igor Runov (Russian: Игорь Рунов; 8 February 1963 – 11 April 2011} was a Russian volleyball player who competed for the Soviet Union in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and for the Unified Team in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. In 1988, he was part of the Soviet team which won the silver medal in the Olympic tournament. He played four matches. Four years later, he finished seventh with the Unified Team in the 1992 Olympic tournament. He played six matches.
Igor Shulepov is a Russian volleyball player born in Yekaterinburg who competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics and in the 2000 Summer Olympics. In 1996 he was part of the Russian team which finished fourth in the Olympic tournament. He played all eight matches. Four years later he won the silver medal with the Russian team in the 2000 Olympic tournament. He played all eight matches again.
Vladimir Batez is a Serbian politician and a retired volleyball player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1996 Summer Olympics and in the 2000 Summer Olympics. He was the Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth in the Government of Vojvodina from 2016 to 2020, serving under president Igor Mirović.
