Imair Airlines was an airline based in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was a private airline operating international scheduled and charter passenger services from 1995 until its ceased operations on 23 November 2009. Its main base was Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Baku. [2]

The airline was established on 6 October 1994 and started operations in July 1995. [2] On 23 November 2009 the airline ceased operations and announced plans to sell its two remaining Tupolev-154 aircraft. [3]

Heydar Aliyev International Airport is one of the seven international airports serving Azerbaijan. Formerly, it was called Bina International Airport after a suburb of Baku. On 10 March 2004, the airport was renamed after Heydar Aliyev. The airport is 20 kilometers northeast of Azerbaijan capital Baku, connected to the city by a highway. Azerbaijan Airlines, also known as AZAL, is the flag carrier and largest airline of the country of Azerbaijan. Based in Baku, adjacent to Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the carrier operates to destinations across Asia, the CIS, Europe and the USA. Azerbaijan Airlines is a member of the International Air Transport Association. The airline was founded on 7 April 1992 as the first national airline established after the country gained its independence.

Turan Air was an airline based in Baku, Azerbaijan. As well as operating domestically, the airline offered services to several cities in Russia. Turan Air ceased operations in 2013.

Kazakhstan Airlines was an airline from Kazakhstan, serving as national flag carrier of the country from its independence in 1991 until 1996. CJSC, Aviaprad was an airline based in Yekaterinburg, Russia. It operated domestic and international cargo charters from Yekaterinburg to destinations within the CIS, Western Europe, China and the United Arab Emirates. Its main base was Koltsovo International Airport, Yekaterinburg.

AiRUnion was a Russian airline alliance. It was the first airline alliance ever established in Russia. Member airlines and their affiliates enjoyed a high degree of co-operation in scheduling, ticketing, code sharing, flight transfer operations, frequent flyer program benefits, shared airport lounges, reducing costs, and sharing best practices.
