<i>JAMA</i> Peer-reviewed medical journal published by the American Medical Association

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) is a peer-reviewed medical journal published 48 times a year by the American Medical Association. It publishes original research, reviews, and editorials covering all aspects of biomedicine. The journal was established in 1883 with Nathan Smith Davis as the founding editor. Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo of the University of California San Francisco became the journal editor-in-chief on July 1, 2022, succeeding Howard Bauchner of Boston University.

Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields: life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences and health sciences. It covers three types of sources: book series, journals, and trade journals. All journals covered in the Scopus database are reviewed for sufficiently high quality each year according to four types of numerical quality measure for each title; those are h-Index, CiteScore, SJR and SNIP. Scopus also allows patent searches in a dedicated patent database Lexis-Nexis, albeit with a limited functionality.

It was established in 1955 as the Transactions of the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs to publish the proceedings of the annual ASAIO conference. It obtained its current title in 1992. The Indian Journal of Medical Ethics is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering medical ethics and bioethics.
