The Indian Triathlon Federation (ITF) is the governing and controlling body of triathlon in India. It was registered on 8 May 1990, under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975. [1] It is affiliated to World Triathlon and Asian Triathlon. T.S. Krishnaswamy serves as the president of ITF. [2] The first paratriathlon national championship was held on May 2023 in Chennai. [3]
Taekwondo, also spelled tae kwon do or taekwon-do, is a Korean martial art and combat sport involving punching and kicking techniques. The literal translation for taekwondo is "kicking", "punching", and "the art or way of". It sometimes involves the use of weapons.
A triathlon is an endurance multisport race consisting of swimming, cycling, and running over various distances. The British Triathlon Federation is the national governing body for triathlon, duathlon and associated multisport in Great Britain. It administers triathlon in England, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. It represents Britain at the world body, the International Triathlon Union (ITU) and the regional body the European Triathlon Union (ETU). The BTF also selects athletes to represent the national team, at races such as the world triathlon series and the Olympic games.
