The Kuwaiti national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Kuwait. The team is controlled by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association and has been an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Kuwait is not ranked in the IIHF World Rankings and have not entered in any World Championships; the team has played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia. They made their debut at the 2018 World Championship Division III Qualification tournament.

Belt wrestling is a form of wrestling that is one of the oldest historically recorded sports. It involves two belted contestants aiming to take each other over by grappling with a belt. There are hundreds of national belt wrestling styles, but contemporary most widespread and internationally competed are Alysh and Kurash, developed by the previously nomadic Turkic peoples of Central Asia. United World Wrestling recognized Alysh wrestling as the primary international belt wrestling style. It is regulated globally by the International Federation of Wrestling on Belts Alysh, the sport's governing body. Although the sport has been practiced for millennia, and local championships were held in various places of the world, it was until 2001 when Bayaman Erkinbayev started its international version, and it was called "Alysh". Until 2005, Rif Gaynanov and Bayaman Erkinbayev developed this style together, and then the ways separated. Two different styles appeared named "Alysh" and "Kurash" belt wrestling. Since then, the sport has been included in the 2013 Summer Universiade program, recognized by the Asian Olympic Council, and contested at the Asian Games and Asian Indoor Games. The sport's executives struggle to promote it to the level of an official Olympic sport.

It became the third city in the former Soviet countries to win the right of hosting an Olympic Council of Asia-sanctioned event, following Astana and Almaty in Kazakhstan, which jointly-hosted the 2011 Asian Winter Games. The host city was chosen in Kuwait on 19 December 2010. On 6 July 2013 the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia was officially handed over to the mayor of the city of Ashgabat.

Bangladesh Games is the largest domestic multi-sport tournament in the country where athletes and sports teams from all the districts participate.

The 2021 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, officially known as the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and also known as Bangkok–Chonburi 2021, is scheduled to be a pan-Asian multi-sport event in indoor and martial arts sports held from 17 to 26 November 2023 in the Thai capital city, Bangkok and the province of Chonburi. Originally due to take place from 21 to 30 May 2021, the event was postponed in January 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) officially awarded the games to Bangkok and Chonburi Province and signed the hosting rights contract in April 2020.

The 2022 King's Cup Sepaktakraw World Championship will be the 35th edition of the international sepak takraw tournament King's Cup World Championship organized by the Takraw Association of Thailand together with the International Sepaktakraw Federation (ISTAF), is scheduled to be held in January 2022 at Montatip Hall, UD Town Department Store, in the province of Udonthani, Thailand. Originally due to take place from 20 to 27 September 2020 at Fashion Island Sports World in Bangkok, the venue was changed to Udonthani in February 2020 after the Sports Association of Udon Thani Province request to host the tournament. Previously, the tournament was being postponed four times due to COVID-19 pandemic; twice in late 2020, then in March and September 2021, after that, the federation eventually have a date for its event, the tournament still be held in Udonthani, is scheduled for January 2022, which will be the second time for the province to host the tournament, firstly in 2013 at Central Plaza Sports World. This is also the first time the King's Cup has been postponed, since its inception in 1985.
