Invisible Connections is a 1985 album by Greek electronic composer Vangelis.

Although it was quite noticeable that the title track had two distinct parts separated by silence, while the two shorter tracks were extremely similar in style, there was no other indication of any errors in the mastering, pressing, or labeling of the album. However, with the release in 2016 of the Delectus box set containing CD reissues of a selection of Vangelis albums remastered by the composer, it was discovered that the two sides of the album had, in fact, been reversed all along: the true "Invisible Connections" had been split into two tracks and placed on side B, while "Atom Blaster" and "Thermo Vision" had been combined into one track and placed on side A. [3] This long-standing mistake was finally remedied on the remaster, which associates each song with its proper title and sequences the album correctly: [4]

One of his most experimental albums, Invisible Connections is quite different from the majority of Vangelis's work. [5]
Despite this, it can very loosely be said to belong to a trilogy of his '80s albums, the other two being Soil Festivities from 1984, and Mask from the same year as Invisible Connections. These all feature a willingness of the artist, at this time, to experiment with not only music itself, but his own album release patterns, as the content differs so markedly from the style for which he was known up to this point. In fact, it may be that he was deliberately revisiting the style of Beaubourg , a 1978 album in the same minimalist vein as Invisible Connections. (Though Hypothesis , recorded in 1971 and released in 1978, is also considered to be another "experimental" album, it was a release Vangelis did not sanction and was musically more in the style of jazz fusion than minimalist.)

Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft, or D.A.F., was an influential German electropunk/Neue Deutsche Welle band from Düsseldorf, formed in 1978 featuring Gabriel "Gabi" Delgado-López (vocals), Robert Görl, Kurt "Pyrolator" Dahlke, Michael Kemner (bass-guitar) and Wolfgang Spelmans (guitar). Kurt Dahlke was replaced by Chrislo Haas in 1979. Since 1981, the band has consisted of Delgado-López and Görl. Gabi Delgado-Lopez died on 22 March 2020 aged 61.

Vladimir Horowitz – The Complete Original Jacket Collection is a 70 CD boxed set featuring most of the recordings of the pianist Vladimir Horowitz. The collection contains recordings from 1928 to his final recording session just four days before his death in 1989. Horowitz's recordings for RCA Red Seal and Columbia Masterworks/Sony Classical are included in the set. Recordings that Horowitz made for RCA's European affiliate, HMV, are not included. Nor are the recordings he made with Deutsche Grammophon from 1985 to 1989. It is one of the largest issues in the Original Jacket Collection series, and supersedes two smaller Original Jacket issues of Horowitz material.

Inception/Nostalgia is a 1970 compilation album of previously unreleased songs recorded by the Bee Gees in 1966. This double album contains a mixture of both self-penned songs and covers. The first LP in the set is titled Inception while the second LP is titled Nostalgia, hence the album title. Supposedly intended as a follow-up to the three volumes of Rare, Precious and Beautiful this set was first issued by Karussell in Germany and by Triumph in France, both being Polydor budget labels and therefore linked to their licensing deal with Festival Records. The Gibb brothers were unaware of its release until Maurice saw one during a skiing holiday in Switzerland. It did not remain in print for long but it was released by Polydor in Japan in 1972 as Inception and Nostalgia and a number of single disc releases with a varying selection of these songs appeared on a number of compilations across the world over the next few years.
Horace Silver Trio and Art Blakey - Sabu is a 1955 compilation album, featuring, primarily the Horace Silver Trio, but also includes two percussion-centric tracks featuring drummer Art Blakey and conga player Sabu. The tracks on this album are compiled from three sessions which were Silver's first as a leader. Originally released as an LP, it has subsequently been reissued on CD several times, including additional tracks not present on the original LP.
