Gianna Nannini is an Italian singer and songwriter. Her most notable songs include "America" (1979), "Fotoromanza" (1984), "I Maschi" (1987), "Meravigliosa creatura" and "Bello e impossibile" (1986), the latter a European hit, with success in Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.

The Federation of the Italian Music Industry or Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI) is an umbrella organization that keeps track of virtually all aspects of the music recording industry in Italy. It was established in 1992, when major corporate labels left the previously existing Associazione dei Fonografici Italiani (AFI). During the following years, most of the remaining Italian record labels left AFI to join the new organisation. As of 2011, FIMI represents 2,500 companies operating in the music business.

Wil Malone is a British music producer and arranger, who has worked with artists including Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Todd Rundgren, The Verve, Massive Attack, Depeche Mode and Italian rocker Gianna Nannini. In 1976, Malone and Lou Reizner covered a Beatles song, "You Never Give Me Your Money", for the musical documentary All This and World War II. Malone also did the string arrangements for several songs by collaborative techno group UNKLE.

"Un'estate italiana", "To be number one" (English) or "Un verano italiano" is the official song of the 1990 FIFA World Cup held in Italy. The song was composed by Giorgio Moroder with lyrics by Tom Whitlock. The Italian version, also known as "Notti magiche" in Italy, was recorded by Italian artists Edoardo Bennato and Gianna Nannini, who also wrote the Italian lyrics. The Spanish version, also known as "Noches mágicas" in Spanish, was recorded by Paraguayan Susan Ferrer, who also wrote the Spanish lyrics.

"Meravigliosa creatura" is a song by Italian rock vocalist Gianna Nannini, written by Mara Redeghieri, vocalist at Ustmamò. The single was simultaneously on air at different radio networks on 1 January 1995, one minute after midnight, and it anticipates the release of the album Dispetto, expected on 13 February of the same year in all Europe. In 2004, it was featured on the album Perle with a new arrangement of the song, a new slow version with piano and chord instruments that will be finished as a last arrangement of February 2007, 3 years after the album Perlo was released. The final arrangement was chosen as the soundtrack for the Fiat Bravo spot, helping the piece to get in the charts. It was not released as a single, but the sales of the piece was mostly by internet download. Incredibly, the piece reaches the number one in charts, for the third time in the singer musical career; it had to pass 17 years until Gianna Nannini reached the singles top.

A me piace così is the first solo studio album from Italian pop singer Emma Marrone published on October 19, 2010 from label Universal Music.
