The Lebanon men's national basketball team, controlled by the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB), has represented Lebanon in basketball since its inception in 1947. The squad is governed by FIBA, and is part of the FIBA Asia zone.

The USA Basketball Women's National Team, commonly known as the United States women's national basketball team, is governed by USA Basketball and competes in FIBA Americas. The team is by far the most successful in international women's basketball, having won nine out of the eleven Olympic tournaments it had entered. It has also won nine of the last twelve World Cups, and eleven titles overall. The team is currently ranked first in the FIBA World Rankings.

They have participated in five Olympic Games, winning two bronze medals.
The Czech Republic women's national basketball team represents the Czech Republic in international women's basketball. Their biggest success so far is the gold medal at the EuroBasket 2005. Czech Republic are one of the newest national basketball teams in the world, having split from the Czechoslovakia women's national basketball team after the dissolution of the unified state in 1993, with the Slovakia women's national basketball team continuing as the successor of the Czechoslovak team.

Belgium's first appearance in a major international tournament came at EuroBasket 1950. The team has participated in the European Championship fourteen times overall. Their best results at the event are winning the title in 2023, and two third place finishes. Belgium has also competed on the global stage, where they have made two appearances at the World Cup, and one at the Olympic Games (2020).
The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 19th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams. The tournament was the second to feature 32 teams and was hosted by multiple nations for the first time in its history—the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia—from 25 August to 10 September 2023.
