"Is It Love" is a song by Dutch Eurodance group Twenty 4 Seven, released in November 1993, as the fourth single from their second studio album, Slave To The Music (1993). [1] It was the first up-tempo song written by Ruud van Rijen and scored success on the charts in Europe, peaking at number five in Germany. The chorus is sung by Nancy Coolen while the rap parts are performed by Stay-C. Maria Jimenez from Music & Media described "Is It Love" as a "sugar-coated highly commercial track". [2]

Chart performance

"Is It Love" was a major hit on the charts across several continents and remains one of the group's most successful songs. In Europe, it entered the top 10 in Austria (9), [3] Denmark (6), [4] Germany (5), [5] the Netherlands (6), [6] Portugal (4), [7] and Sweden (7). [8] In Germany, it spent 19 weeks within the German Singles Chart. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it debuted at number 32, after charting in Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Portugal and Sweden. [9] It peaked at number eleven, while reaching number thirteen on the European Dance Radio Chart chart. [10] The song was a top-20 hit also in Belgium (11), [11] and Iceland (11). [12] It didn't chart on the UK Singles Chart. Outside Europe, "Is It Love" charted at number eight in Zimbabwe, [13] and number 20 in both Australia and New Zealand. [14] [15] It earned a gold record in Germany, with a sale of 250,000 singles.

Music video

The partially black-and-white music video for "Is It Love" was released in December 1993 by Garcia Media Production. It was videoed by Fernando Garcia and Steve Walker, and filmed in Belgium and the Netherlands. The video was A-listed on Germany's VIVA [16] and was later made available on Arcade's official YouTube channel in 2013. By May 2023, it had generated more than 3.5 million views. [17]

Going for a more trance-like song than its predecessor, "Rhythm Is a Dancer", it is based on the track "Ex-Terminator" and was included in later editions of the album. The song peaked at number one in Finland, Israel, Spain and Sweden, as well as on the RPM Dance chart and the Eurochart Hot 100, and was a top-10 hit in at least 13 countries. A sizeable hit in several countries, particularly in the United Kingdom and Finland, it entered the top 10, reaching number nine and four, respectively. The single entered the Eurochart Hot 100 at number 87 on 11 December 1993 and peaked at number 10 on 19 February 1994. It became a number-one hit in Belgium, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, and Zimbabwe. The vocals were by Diane Charlemagne, who had provided the vocal for the band's previous hit and their subsequent singles. The song was written by Allen George and Fred McFarlane, and was Robin S.'s second number one on the US dance chart, where it spent one week at the top. On other US charts, the song peaked at number 53 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 54 on the Cash Box Top 100. Overseas, "Luv 4 Luv" reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart and number 24 in Ireland. A black-and-white music video was produced to promote the single, featuring Robin S. performing at a self-service laundry. "Give Me All Your Love" is a song recorded by German Eurodance band Magic Affair. It is the follow-up single to their acclaimed song "Omen III", and was released in 1994 via Cologne Dance Label as the second single from their debut studio album, Omen (1994). It also broke away from the Omen theme and was a more pop-oriented track. The single was successful in many European countries, peaking at number three in Finland, number four in Denmark and number eight in both Sweden and Switzerland. In Germany, it peaked at number six and was certified gold for 250,000 records sold. German Sales stood at 400,000 copies in 1995. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Give Me All Your Love" reached number 14. Rap parts are performed by AK Swift, and lead vocals by Franca Morgano.

"Dum Da Dum" is a song by Swedish recording artist Melodie MC, released in 1993 by Sidelake Productions and Virgin as the third single from his debut album, Northland Wonderland (1993). The song is written by Lövgren, featuring female vocals by Mayomi. It contains a sample from "Feel That Beat" by 2 Static. "Dum Da Dum" was very successful on the singles charts in Europe and Australia, remaining the artist's biggest hit single. In 2009, a new version of the song was released.
