The Islamic Republic of Iran Wrestling Federation is the governing body for Wrestling in Iran. It is a member of the United World Wrestling (UWW).
Alireza Dabir is the President of Islamic Republic of Iran Wrestling Federation from July 2019. He is an Iranian champion freestyle wrestler. Dabir won a gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, as well as the World Championship in 1998. He was a runner-up in 1999, 2001 and 2002. In the 2004 Athens Olympics, Dabir lost all of his matches by points. He was a member of City Council of Tehran.

He was also the 1994 and 1995 world champion and 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996 Asian champion. He was trained by his father Mohammad Khadem, and he is also the younger brother of Olympic wrestling bronze medalists Amir Reza Khadem and Ebrahim Khadem.

It combines martial arts, calisthenics, strength training and music. It contains elements of pre-Islamic and post-Islamic culture of Iran with the spirituality of Persian Shia Islam and Sufism. Practiced in a domed structure called the zurkhāneh, training sessions consist mainly of ritual gymnastic movements and climax with the core of combat practice, a style of folk wrestling called koshti pahlavāni.

Hassan Rangraz is a former wrestler, coach and sports manager from Iran. He is the head coach of Iran's national wrestling team and the official instructor of the United World Wrestling. He is the head coach of the Iranian national wrestling team and an official instructor of the World Wrestling Federation and before that he was the manager of the national wrestling teams, the spokesperson of the Iran Wrestling Federation and the director general of sports and youth of Mazandaran. He has other executive responsibilities. He was the advisor to the vice president and the advisor to the head of the physical education organization from 2008 to 2010, managed the National Museum of Sports, Olympics and Paralympics, and was the vice president of the wrestling federation.

Komeil Ghasemi is a retired Iranian wrestler who won a gold medal in the men's freestyle 120 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Ghasemi was awarded his Olympic gold medal after the two wrestlers ahead of him failed drug tests. Ghasemi is the most successful Iranian heavyweight wrestler at the Olympic Games.

He won the Asian Youth Wrestling Championship in 1998 in Kazakhstan and the same year won the World Youth Wrestling Championship in Cairo and won the gold medal. He currently lives in the United States and is one of the main leaders of the Navid Afkari campaign.
