Estonian Wrestling Federation

Estonian Wrestling Federation (abbreviation EWF; Estonian : Eesti Maadlusliit) is one of the sport governing bodies in Estonia which deals with wrestling. [1]

The history of EWF goes back to 1920 when the organization (Estonian : Eesti Kerge-, Raske- ja Veespordiliit) was established. In 1933 the organization (Estonian : Eesti Maadlus-, Poksi- ja Tõsteliit) was established. During the Estonian SSR period, the Estonian SSR Wrestling Federation (Estonian : Eesti NSV Maadlusföderatsioo) existed. [1]

EWF is a member of United World Wrestling (UWW). [1]

Eesti Ujumisliit is the governing body of swimming in Estonia. It is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1922 under the name of "Eesti Kerge-, Raske- ja Veespordiliit". It joined FINA in 1927 and LEN in 1929. In 1934, Eesti Veespordi Liit was founded. During the Soviet occupation, federation was closed and was re-founded in 1990 under the new name "Eesti Ujumisliit". In 1991, the federation was reinstated to FINA and LEN.
