Aykut Kocaman is a former Turkish footballer, who played as a striker. He is the current manager of Konyaspor. Before he made his debut 1980 with the amateur club Kabataş Altınmızrak in Istanbul, Kocaman performed gymnastics at the club Eczacıbaşı, winning 40 medals and reaching second place at the national level. 1984, he moved to Sakaryaspor in Adapazarı, Sakarya and turned professional. Then in 1988, Kocaman signed a contract with Fenerbahçe, where he played and contributed much to success of his club until he was transferred to Istanbulspor in 1996.
The Ülker Stadium, previously known as Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is the traditional home venue of major Turkish multi-sport club Fenerbahçe SK. The stadium was inaugurated in 1908 and renovated between 1929 and 1932, 1965 and 1982, and 1999 and 2006. On October 4, 2006, after numerous inspections by UEFA, Ülker Stadium was selected to host the 2009 UEFA Cup Final that went down to history as the last Final of the UEFA Cup football tournament, which was rebranded as the UEFA Europa League starting from the 2009–10 season.
Alexsandro de Souza, commonly known as Alex, is a Brazilian former footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He is a former captain of the Brazilian national team and Turkish club Fenerbahçe; throughout his career, he also played for Coritiba, Palmeiras, Flamengo and Cruzeiro in Brazil, and Parma in the Italian Serie A. Alex first played professionally for Coritiba, a Brazilian football club from the state of Paraná, where he stayed from 1995- 97, when he was sold to Palmeiras, from São Paulo. When he was playing for Palmeiras where he became a national star, in Brazil. He conquered for the Parque Antárctica club a Libertadores da América cup title, in 1999, a Rio-São Paulo cup title in 2000 and a Copa do Brasil title and a Mercosul cup title in 1998. He left Palmeiras and signed with Flamengo, of Rio de Janeiro in 2000.

The Istanbul Football League was founded as a regional football league under the name Constantinople Football Association League by James La Fontaine and Henry Pears in Istanbul, the capital of the former Ottoman Empire, in 1904. The Istanbul League was the first football organization ever in the Ottoman Empire and later Turkey. In the inaugural 1904–05 season the matches between the four teams, Moda FC, HMS Imogene, Elpis FC, and Cadi-Keuy FC were played on Sundays, leading to the name of the league, Istanbul Sunday League. Henry Pears, an Englishman and one of the three founders, promised to ultimately award the shield to the club with the most championships won during the initial 10 years.

The 2015 Euroleague Final Four was the concluding EuroLeague Final Four tournament of the 2014–15 Euroleague season. The Final Four was held on 15 and 17 May 2015. All of the games were played at the Barclaycard Center, in Madrid, Spain. It was the third time the city of Madrid hosted the Final Four, and the 6th time the Final of the EuroLeague was played there.
The 2017 EuroLeague Final Four was the concluding EuroLeague Final Four tournament of the 2016–17 EuroLeague season, the 60th season of Europe's premier level club basketball tournament, and the 17th season since it is organised by Euroleague Basketball. The 2017–18 Turkish Cup was the 56th season of the tournament. Ziraat Bankası is the sponsor of the tournament; thus the official name due to sponsorship was the Ziraat Turkish Cup. As the winners of the tournament, Akhisarspor earned an automatic berth to the group stage of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League and also qualified for the 2018 Turkish Super Cup.
Beşiktaş's men's basketball department were founded in 1933, before being halted in 1936, and then resuming once again in 1940. Since then, Beşiktaş have played in the Turkish Basketball Super League, in every season, except in the 1988–89 season, due to their relegation to the Turkish Basketball First League after the 1987–88 season. The club won the Turkish Super League, under the management of Ateş Çubukçu and Tom Davis, in the 1974–75 season.
