The Italian Academy of Orthodontic Technology (Italian : Accademia Italiana di Ortodonzia Tecnica (AIOT)) is a professional association for orthodontic technicians based in Italy.

Council

The academy is run by a council, of which current members include Stefano Pandolfi (president), Sergio Paludetti (secretary) and Paolo Tedesco (treasurer). [1]

Annual congress

Each year, the AIOT holds a national congress alongside that of the Italian Academy of Orthodontics (Accademia Italiana di Ortodonzia, AIDOR) in a major Italian city such as Rome, Florence or Bologna.

The academy also holds a congress alongside the Italiani Association Orthodontic Specialists (Associazione Specialisti Italiani Ortodonzia, ASIO) congress.

Riccardo Brengola was an Italian violinist and professor. He was associated with early Italian chamber music and with the performance of contemporary Italian classical music. For several decades, he was the Professor Emeritus of chamber music at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, and from 1939 to 1966, he was the leader of the only piano quintet ensemble, the Quintetto Chigiano. His influence as a teacher also spread beyond Siena, through courses or classes at other major Italian Conservatories and to Ireland, Argentina, Spain and Japan. He maintained his career as a concert violin soloist and as an orchestral conductor, and was awarded the status of Commendatore of the Italian Republic in 1982.

The Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, also known as the Accademia di Brera or Brera Academy, is a state-run tertiary public academy of fine arts in Milan, Italy. It shares its history, and its main building, with the Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan's main public museum for art. In 2010 an agreement was signed to move the accademia to a former military barracks, the Caserma Magenta in via Mascheroni. In 2018 it was announced that Caserma Magenta was no longer a viable option, with the former railway yard in Via Farini now under consideration as a potential venue for the campus extension.

The Accademia degli Svogliati was a 17th-century association of Italian men of letters in Florence. It began as a conversation on 5 November 1620 at the house of Jacopo Gaddi, where it continued to meet. It did not however acquire a name, an emblem or a statute until 22 January 1637. It flourished until about 1648. Gaddi was the driving force behind the Svogliati, as evidenced by the title of its statutes: "Statuti dell' Accademia degli Svogliati sotto il Principato dell'Illustrissimo Signore Jacopo Gaddi, suo Primo Principe e Promotore stabiliti".
