Ivan Strugar (born December 18, 1974) is a Montenegrin kickboxer. He is a winner of numerous trophies and accolades both in amateur and professional competition, and is one of the most popular sportsmen in Montenegro. He currently fights in W.A.K.O Pro association, out of Ariston gym in Podgorica. He won his last match in Podgorica. He fought Beloni third time in his career, and lost the fight by third-round knockout. [1]

Personal life

Strugar declares himself as Yugoslav, entering the ring in shirt with inscription Yugoslavia and FR Yugoslavia emblem, the same shirt he wore at W.A.K.O. European Championships 1996, where he won gold medal and entered the ring in same shirt since then, always accompanied by the song Eye of the Tiger. [2]

W.A.K.O. European Championships 1996 were the thirteenth European kickboxing championships hosted by the W.A.K.O. organization arranged by the Serbia and Montenegro kickboxing president Borislav Pelević. The event was the first ever to be held in Serbia and Montenegro and welcomed the country back into the international community after the devastation of the Bosnian War. It was open to amateur men and women representing thirty-seven countries in Europe - more detail on the participating nations is provided in the relevant section below.

W.A.K.O. World Championships 2001 were the joint thirteenth world kickboxing championships hosted by the W.A.K.O. organization. It was the second championships to be held in Serbia and Montenegro and was open to amateur men and women across the world.

Nenad Pagonis is a Serbian cruiserweight kickboxer as of 2013 fighting out of Mike's Gym in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Team Pagonis in Novi Sad, Serbia. In 2010 he became W.A.K.O. Pro world champion. He won a number of world and European titles at amateur level.
