Jackass Flat is a suburb of the city of Bendigo in central Victoria, Australia. Jackass Flat is in the City of Greater Bendigo, 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) north of the Bendigo central business district.
Bendigo is a city in Victoria, Australia, located near the geographical centre of the state and approximately 150 kilometres (93 mi) north west of the state capital, Melbourne. As of June 2016, Bendigo had an urban population of 95,587, making it the fourth largest inland city in Australia and fourth most populous city in the state. It is the administrative centre for the City of Greater Bendigo which encompasses both the urban area and outlying towns spanning an area of approximately 3,000 square kilometres and over 111,000 people.
The City of Greater Bendigo is a local government area in Victoria, Australia, located in the central part of the state. It covers an area of 3,048 square kilometres (1,177 sq mi) and, at the 2016 Census, had a population of 110,477. It includes the city of Bendigo and the towns of Axedale, Elmore, Heathcote, Marong, Raywood and Strathfieldsaye. It was formed in 1994 from the amalgamation of the former City of Bendigo with the Borough of Eaglehawk, Shire of Strathfieldsaye, Shire of Huntly, Rural City of Marong and parts of the Shire of McIvor.

Astrotricha linearis, commonly known as known as the narrow-leaf star-hair, is a plant species in the family Araliaceae. The species is endemic to south-east Australia. Plants grow to 1.5 metres high and have linear leaves that are 20 to 65 mm long and 1 to 1.5 mm wide. Flowers appear between October and December in the species native range.
