Jacob Lee Roberts (born 29 June 1990) is an English actor, best known for portraying the role of Damon Kinsella in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2017-2023. In 2024, he joined the cast of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street as Kit Green.

Life and career

Jacob Lee Roberts was born on 29 June 1990 in Salford, Greater Manchester. [1] [2] He studied at David Johnson Drama in Manchester and appeared as Happy Boy in the stage production of Borstal Boy which toured the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007, and New York City in 2008. [3] [4] He has also appeared in various television advertisements including for the theme park Alton Towers and the bank HSBC. [5] Roberts also studied at an acting school ran by Jamie Lomas prior to graduating. [6]

In 2017, Roberts joined the cast of the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks as Damon Kinsella. [7] He was introduced as the secret brother of Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) in July 2017 as part of episodes set in Ibiza which saw him being tracked down, alongside the character's best friend Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward). [8] Roberts and Woodward were nominated for the Best Partnership Award at the 2018 Inside Soap Awards for their portrayal of the characters' on-screen friendship. [9] [10] [11] His other storylines during his tenure on the show included the character's marriage to Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson), dealing with the death of Brody and a relationship with Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart). [12] [13] [14] [15] In June 2023, Roberts made an unannounced departure from the soap after six years. [16] His character departed alongside Zara Morgan (Kelly Condron) [17] [18] Roberts is set to appear as Paul Ashton in the upcoming film Cara. [3] In 2024, he joined the cast of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street as Kit Green, the estranged son of established character Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove). [19]

Patrick Blake (<i>Hollyoaks</i>) UK soap opera character (created 2012)

Patrick Blake is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Jeremy Sheffield. He made his first screen appearance on 21 November 2012. The character's introduction to the serial and Sheffield's casting were announced on 7 October 2012. Patrick is introduced as the biological father of established character Dodger Savage. It was announced in December 2023 that Patrick would be returning to Hollyoaks in an unknown capacity.

Scott Drinkwell is a fictional character from the British soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Ross Adams. The character made his first appearance on 27 April 2015. Producers asked Adams to audition for the role while he was working as a script editor on rival soap opera Emmerdale. The actor forgot his lines during his screen test but was still offered the role. The character was billed as a "troublesome new relative" joining the show's established O'Connor family. He is the cousin of Sinead O'Connor and nephew to Diane Hutchinson. Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood introduced the character to cause conflict with other characters.

Lauren Louise McQueen is an English actress. She gained prominence through her role as Lily Drinkwell on the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks (2017–2019), for which she won two British Soap Awards. Her films include The Wasting (2017).

Summer Ranger is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Rhiannon Clements. Clements' casting was announced on 19 October 2020, and the actress made her first appearance on 25 November 2020. Summer was introduced as the daughter of established character Cormac Ranger. Two sides of Summer's personality have been explored since her introduction, with scenes showing her to have "sweetness and light" to her, while also possessing a nasty side. Digital Spy wrote that her introduction would have troubling consequences for Brody Hudson, Warren Fox and Felix Westwood, all of whom were involved in an attack on her father. Summer was also billed as a "frenemy" for Sienna Blake, with who she later forms a romantic connection. Beau Ramsey is a fictional character from the British soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Jon-Paul Bell. Beau first appears in episode 5964, originally broadcast on 20 October 2022. Bell's casting and character details were announced on 6 September 2022 by Hollyoaks's former executive producer Lucy Allan. The newcomer was later revealed as the estranged son of the soap opera's longest serving character Tony Hutchinson. Beau's storylines since his debut in the serial consist of being revealed as the son of Tony, settling into the Hutchinson family and moving into The Dog in the Pond public house, his brief affair with Liberty Savage upon introduction, his relationships with Maxine Minniver and Kitty Draper before murdering Kitty's conversion therapist father Declan Hawthorne in self-defence after he held her hostage. Bell's portrayal of Beau received a nomination for "Best Newcomer" at the Inside Soap Awards 2023. In June 2024, it was reported Beau was set to leave the series, with his departure airing on 1 August 2024.
