The Macedonian music refers to all forms of music associated with ethnic Macedonians. It shares similarities with the music of neighbouring Balkan countries, yet it remains overall distinctive in its rhythm and sound.
Ivo Pogorelić is a Yugoslav-born Croatian pianist. He is known for his sometimes unorthodox interpretations, which have brought him a sizable following and both praise and criticism from musical experts. A musician of wide repertoire, his recordings include works by a variety of composers from the early 18th through 20th centuries.
Radovan Vlatković is a Croatian-born horn player. He was the former principal horn of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. He left that post in 1990 to devote himself to a solo career and has recorded many of the major works for horn. He is now professor of horn at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria and at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. Vlatković also participates as a senior artist at the Marlboro Music Festival, and has performed in chamber music and solo recital for the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
Milenko Stefanović was a Serbian classical and jazz clarinetist. He was a prizewinner in the international competitions in Moscow, Munich, Geneva and Prague, and achieved an international career as a soloist. He was a long-time principal clarinetist of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and Professor of Clarinet at the University of Priština and University of the Arts in Belgrade.

The Festival Winds was a Canadian Harmonie ensemble, which appeared at the Festival of the Sound, a summer music festival based in the resort town of Parry Sound, Ontario from 1988 to 2014. The group is reuniting for a performance of Mozart's Serenade in B Flat K361 in the summer of 2024 at the Festival of the Sound.
David Bourque is a Canadian musician, was a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra from 1983 to 2011. He played clarinet and bass clarinet in the TSO, and he has played on numerous film soundtracks. Bourque teaches in higher education at the University of Toronto and teaches regularly at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.
Tale Ognenovski was a Macedonian multi-instrumentalist who played clarinet, recorder, tin whistle, bagpipe, zurna, and drums. He composed or arranged 300 instrumental compositions: Macedonian folk dances, jazz compositions, and classical concerts.

Mihailo Živanović, known as Mika-Žuti (Yellow), was a prominent and one of the most inventive and best Serbian and Yugoslav clarinetist, saxophonist, a very prolific composer, conductor of RTB Light Music Orchestras and arranger.
Jane Austin Coop is a Canadian pianist and music pedagogue. An internationally recognized concert pianist, she has appeared as a recitalist and as a soloist with major symphony orchestras throughout the world. She has performed at such venues as the Bolshoi Hall in Saint Petersburg, the Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Beijing Concert Hall, and the Salle Gaveau in Paris. From 1980 to 2012 she taught on the faculty of the University of British Columbia’s School of Music in Vancouver. In December 2012, she was appointed a member of the Order of Canada. In May, 2019 she was appointed to the Order of British Columbia (O.B.C.)
Fàn Lei is a Chinese–American clarinetist, teacher, author, and entrepreneur. Fàn Lei has performed as a clarinet soloist and recitalist throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. He won first prize at the 1985 Chinese National Clarinet competition and was chosen to represent the People's Republic of China at the Toulon International Competition in France, where he also won honors. He has authored several books on clarinet technique and is currently a professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China and a visiting professor at Xi'an Conservatory of Music and Shenyang Conservatory of Music. He is the founder of the International Mozart Clarinet Competition and the International Wind and Percussion Music Festival.
