Jamiatur Raza is an Islamic seminary situated in Bareilly, India. It was established by Akhtar Raza Khan in 2000. [1] [2]

Contents

The founders have evolved a plan to develop it into an Islamic university. [3] Presently, it is being supervised by the son of Mufti Akhtar Raza Khan, Asjad Raza Khan, who is also Chief Mufti of Sunni Muslims of India. [4]

About Madrasa

The Madrasa was established with 250 students and at present one thousand students are studying up to the level of Tahtania, Fauqania and Aalia which is approved by Madrasa Education Board. Many courses approved or recognized by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) are also taught. Master and PhD level courses in association with a Al Azhar university are being run. [3]

It follows following curriculum. [5]

Duration three years from Class VI to VIII

Duration 7 years. It is divided into three sub-stages:

Department of Specialization

It offers specialization in Fiqh, Tafseer, Hadith, Arabic literature, World Religion

Department of Memorization of the Quran and Its Recitation

Method of study

The syllabus is based on Arabic and Persian but our syllabus is combination of Islamic issues Arabic, Persian and Modern Education also.

Fatwa issuance

The Jamiatur Raza had a indifferent part named Markazi Darul Ifta which is the Fatwa department of the University. [6]

Jamia Nizamia more properly, Jami'ah Nizamiyyah, is one of the oldest Islamic seminaries of higher learning for Muslims located in Hyderabad, India.

Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi was a Hanafi jurist, rationalist scholar, Maturidi theologian, philosopher and poet. He was an activist of the Indian independence movement and campaigned against British occupation. He issued an early religious edict in favour of doing military jihad against British colonialism during 1857 and inspired various others to participate in the 1857 rebellion. Yaseen Akhtar Misbahi was an Indian Sunni Sufi Islamic scholar and journalist, associated with the Raza Academy. He was the vice-president of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and the chairman of All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat. He was an alumnus of Al Jamiatul Ashrafia and authored books including Angrez-nawazi ki Haqeeqat.

The Grand Mufti of India is the most senior and influential religious authority of the Sunni Muslim Community of India.
