Jan D. Boersma (born 1 November 1968) is a windsurfer from the Netherlands Antilles, who won a silver medal in Men's Lechner Sailboard in the 1988 Summer Olympics, his country's first and only Olympic medal. [1] [2]
The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.
The Netherlands Antilles competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004, sending track athletes Churandy Martina and Geronimo Goeloe and equestrian athlete Eddy Stibbe. The 2004 Games were the Netherlands Antilles' twelfth appearance in the Summer Olympics; they first competed at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. Before the 2004 games, the Netherlands Antilles had won one medal, a silver in sailing at the 1988 Summer Olympics, by Jan Boersma. There were no Dutch Antillean medalists at the Athens Olympics, although Martina advanced to the quarterfinal round in his event. The Dutch Antillean flagbearer at the ceremonies was Churandy Martina.
Shirley Ann Robertson, OBE DL is a British sailor and Olympic gold medallist. She made it into the history books by becoming the first British woman to win an Olympic gold medal at consecutive games, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004.

Jean-Yves Le Déroff is a French sailor and Olympic champion. He won the Tornado class at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, with Nicolas Hénard. He also has a silver medal from the 1987 World championship.
Paul Hurlburt Smart was an American sailor and Olympic champion. He competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, where he received a gold medal in the star class with the boat Hilarius, together with his son Hilary Smart.
Belinda Josephine Stowell is an Australian sailor and Olympic champion. She won a gold medal in the 470 class with Jenny Armstrong at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
Peder Lunde Jr. is a retired Norwegian sailor who competed in the 1960, 1968, 1972 and 1976 Olympics. In 1960, he won a gold medal in the Flying Dutchman class, together with Bjørn Bergvall. Eight years later, he earned a silver medal in the Star class, together with Per Olav Wiken. He placed sixth in the same event in 1972, and 16th in 1976 in the three-person keelboat. In 1981-82, he was a crewmember on the yacht Berge Viking in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race.

Kleen has also been training throughout most of his sporting career for the North German Sailing Regatta in Hamburg under his personal coach Alan Smith.

Stanjek has also been training throughout most of his sporting career for the North German Sailing Regatta in Hamburg under his personal coach Alan Smith. As of November 2014, Stanjek is ranked eighth in the world for the two-person keelboat by the International Sailing Federation, following his first-place effort at the ISAF World Cup Series and Star World Championship in Malcesine, Italy.
