"Janie, Don't Take Your Love to Town" is a song by American rock singer Jon Bon Jovi. It was released in September 1997 as the third single from his second solo album, Destination Anywhere (1997). Commercially, the song reached number 13 on the UK Singles Chart and number 18 on Canada's RPM 100 Hit Tracks chart. The song features a music video which was released on the DVD Destination Anywhere: The Film .

Critical reception

British magazine Music Week rated "Janie, Don't Take Your Love to Town" three out of five, adding, "Written after a row with Mrs Bon Jovi, the third single from Destination Anywhere is a plaintive cry, delivered with passion. Simple but nicely effective." [1]

Destination Anywhere: The Film, is an American film inspired by and featuring music and concepts from Jon Bon Jovi's second solo record Destination Anywhere. The film and album were released in June 1997. The film stars Jon Bon Jovi and Demi Moore as a young couple struggling with alcoholism and the death of their young child. Directed by Mark Pellington, the film debuted on both MTV and VH1 in 1997 and also stars Kevin Bacon, Whoopi Goldberg and Annabella Sciorra. The film was released on DVD on April 11, 2005 and includes five promotional music videos and the track "It's Just Me" also features in full during the film.
